With the nights drawing in, and the air growing cold and crisp, the excitement of Bonfire Night approaches. Dark skies, with perhaps some stars, and frost-covered grass form the backdrop for thrilling firework displays. Flames leap up from the bonfire, and smoke curls into the air. Roast chestnuts, toffee apples and hotdogs are handed round on paper plates with warming mugs of hot chocolate. When it’s time for the fireworks to begin, everyone watches in transfixed amazement. What a spectacular night!
Dazzle
One of our favourite designs, ‘Dazzle‘, is as scintillating as any firework! It has all the hot colours – red, oranges and yellow – radiating from a black background. Orange ellipses cluster round velvety black squares, with pointed edges like bonfire sparks. The yellow circles shine out as if they were dazzling rockets. This exhilarating design is available from Goldcrest Gallery as an A3 fine art print, as well as a 5.5″ square handmade greeting card. ‘Dazzle’, an original 1950s wallpaper design, is a recent addition to our range of canvas prints, in size 8″ square.
Nocturne
Rows of descending sparks and little pinpoints of coloured light fill the dark sky in ‘Nocturne‘. This beautiful design has a dark green background. Against this backdrop, there are lines of little peach circles, tiny lemon yellow dots, and short rows of small lilac and grey-green ellipses. Showers of sparkling colours rain down like a firework display. ‘Nocturne’, created in the 1950s, is available as a distinctive A3 fine art print and a 5.5″ square handmade greeting card. In addition, a 10″ canvas print of ‘Nocturne’ will be joining our range soon.
Toffee Apples on Bonfire Night
