Here, a blue vase and symmetrical wild flower arrangement are derived from the influence of folk art. The blue and purple colours harmonise with smaller pink floral motifs, among field grasses and wild flowers. The beautiful, uncomplicated blue flower border incorporates a classic element of traditional folk art.
Flower Basket
‘Flower Basket‘, another popular design in folk art style, has simplified flowers in an array of pinks and purples. The design is punctuated with warm touches of soft orange, and the bouquet is arranged in a country-style basket. Outlines in crayon and rings of small circles give the effect of beadwork and appliqué.
Heather Spray
The beautiful ‘Heather Spray‘ also has tiny bead motifs with a symmetrical floral design. Cool blues and purples are balanced with warmer pinks and orange. This traditional folk design would be equally appropriate for a decoration on a wall or a gypsy-style dress.
